Hi Patti,

I am sorry that I have not sent you and email sooner but I just wanted to extend my thanks to you for renting us your condo at Warren Dunes over Christmas. We had a great time and my now Fiancee said yes to my proposal. It was a perfect day overlooking the Lake, no wind, clear blue skies and the sunset was beautiful.

Your condo was also truly amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we wished it could have been longer!

Thank you so much again - we hope we left the place in clean condition for you!

Kindest Regards

Ian

Hi Patti,

I wanted to thank you for opening up your home to me and my friends.  We had a wonderful time and are looking to do it again next year. We even got a chance to see wild turkeys in your backyard.  I will send you a picture if they turn out.  Also one of my friends left her laptop cord.  Is it possible to mail it to her?  She of course will pay for shipping.

Thanks,

Sherry

Hi Patti.

Just a quick note to say how much we appreciated your wonderful home - that's how it felt to us. I don't know, and don't need to know(!) if you and Mike live there. I just want to let you know that it has such a comfy, lived in, livable feel to it. So many wonderful little touches. We appreciated the thought and care that went into the design, the layout, the construction, the ambiance. It all has a spacious, warm, and comfy feel to it. It was easy to have airflow, and to be closed up nice and snug. We could have stayed as if we just lived there! No we won't be stalkers! But we will be back!

We especially loved the hot tub - it's the best one we've been in. The strength and layout of the jets, and the wonderful location on the screened porch. We were in it twice a day. My wife also loved the huge tub in the studio. And the two fireplaces are wonderful as well! You might call it a spa instead of a lodge! And the location near the Dunes was great too. We walked some of the trails. And I did make it to the top of the mountain for the view, which was as you said, worth it. Just wanted you to know how much we appreciated all the thought and planning and careful execution that went into such a wonderful space!

All the best! Until whenever...

Allan

Hi Patti,

We had a great time staying in your home in Bridgman. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.  We especially loved the screened in porch.  I agree with Julia's comment previously sent that letting us know that there was a sign in front of the house that said "Birds of a Feather" would have been beneficial.  That would have helped us find the house faster.  The location was good but including a list of nearby restaurants, bars, & beaches with directions in the home would have been helpful.  We were not familiar with the area and it was hard to figure out where to go.  Also, on your VRBO listing you may want to include a list of appliances/equipment that you have at the house like coffee maker, CD player I Pod dock, etc.

All in all, we had a great time.  Definitely a good house for a girls' weekend.  Thank you for sharing your home.

Patti,

Our recent three day weekend getaway at Birds of a Feather Lodge in Bridgman was relaxing, enjoyable and most of all just plain fun.  We arrived Friday afternoon a bit early and met the house keeper who was more then happy to show around the house and provide suggestions for dinner, entertainment and directions.  Conversations with Patti the night before also provided several suggestions which we took advantage of and nothing we acted on turned into a "why did we go there" after thought.  We needed some serious down time so we acted on Patti's suggestion and used Friday afternoon relaxing on Weko Beach, a short 5 minute drive, which turned into a great way to kick-off the weekend. Being a Friday and after Labor Day the beach was practically deserted and the Lake was dressed in her best. On Saturday we hit the Sawyer Market, made a short trip into Buchanan and followed that up with a tour of 5 wineries (with a designated driver - who actually volunteered - thanks John). We got back to the lodge with time for a quick nap before we journeyed back to Tabor Hill Winery (15-20 minutes tops) were we enjoyed a wonderful dinner while watching the sunset over the winery's grape vines. The evening was climaxed with us relaxing on the screened  porch with the hot tub bubbling and a cozy fire while "sampling" some of our earlier purchases. Sunday morning after our bags were packed and car loaded we took advantage of the trails which kicked off at a trail head about 100 yards behind the lodge. The trails were clearly marked, easy to follow and covered in a canopy of trees. The hike to the lake was up (paused here for a great view of the lake) and down (knew up followed down so turned around at this point) a dune but right onto the beach.  Other trails stayed in the trees and LEVEL - so I immediately forged forward on to one of those. None of the trails appeared to be over a half mile.

We found the accommodations very comfortable. Bedrooms cozy and tidy, living areas neat and comfortable - great day-bed for sleeping on the screen porch. Kitchen well stocked with utensils - all clean & everything worked. Bathrooms clean and neat. Linens and towels freshly washed and folded.  We were skeptical after driving up to a yellow steel sided building right off Red Arrow Highway but the transformation that had taken place on the inside put all our doubts behind us. Our weekend was wonderful & would definitely return.
